Total Body Lift
“Body Lift” is the term used for circumferential torso lift or torsoplasty. This is an extension of the typical abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedure whereby the incision (excisions) do not end around the anterior hip bone, but actually continue around each side (flank) and then continue around the buttock region as well meeting the incisions (excisions) from the opposite side in the center just above the buttock.
This procedure is for women who dislike the loose (sometimes stretched marked) puffy skin over the side and back of the hip, and or complain of buttock sag or droop.
This doesn’t come only from massive weight loss but often occurs after pregnancies.
The body lift procedure can create a powerful dramatic transformation to a woman’s body. It is a great tool to reshape. I often combine it with liposuction of hips and fat grafting of buttocks to yield a true buttock lift. Results can be magical.
Recovery initially requires 2-3 in hospital but by two weeks, most have returned to work and light exercise can be resumed by 3-4 weeks.
