FRACTIONAL FACIAL RESURFACING
Our fractional laser enables us to precisely target the skin’s superficial and deep layers simultaneously.
Experience a dramatic improvement in:
- skin tone and texture
- sun-damaged skin
- age spots / discolorations
- fine lines / wrinkles
You can expect moderate discomfort during the treatment, but topical anesthetic applied prior to the procedure typically makes any discomfort tolerable.
Immediately following the procedure you can expect a sensation similar to a sunburn, lasting several hours. You can expect natural exfoliation for the next 5-7 days.
Generally, you will see a drastic improvement in skin tone and texture after only one treatment. Some patients require an additional treatment. In the days after the treatment your skin will gradually look softer and smoother. The age spots and fine lines will start to show immediate improvement.
Laser hair removal is a noninvasive technique that uses highly concentrated light to penetrate hair follicles.
The laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and generates heat to damage the follicle and inhibit future hair growth.
Because hair removal only affects actively growing hair follicles, it may take several laser hair removal treatments to provide significant hair reduction. Additionally, while laser hair removal effectively slows hair growth, it doesn’t guarantee permanent hair removal. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed.
Lasers are a common method of scar treatment. The laser emits a concentrated beam of light energy to generate heat and cause inflammation of the dermis. As a result, the remaining tissues produce collagen and elastin which work to heal the skin, reducing pigmentation and softening scars.
Lasers are the most common method of tattoo removal performed. Lasers heat the ink particles in the skin with highly concentrated light waves, causing them to fragment into smaller particles that are cleared by the body’s immune system.
Complete removal of a tattoo typically requires 4-10 laser sessions. Some colors of ink are harder to remove than others, any may never be completely removed. We recommend 6 weeks between each session to allow the body to absorb as much of the ink as possible.
Topical skin numbing cream is used prior to the procedure to alleviate discomfort. After the procedure, we recommend cleaning the wound with soap and water and antibiotic ointment and soft dressing. Healing is usually complete about 5-7 days after the procedure.
